A leader in Warri South Local Government Area and Chairman of Ifie-Kporo Community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr. Monday Agbeyi, has called on residents of Warri South and those who are yet to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, to take advantage of the upcoming Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, registration exercise scheduled to hold from May 4 to August 17, 2026.
Dr. Agbeyi made the call in a statement where he stressed the importance of voter registration as a civic responsibility and a vital tool for citizens to actively participate in the democratic process.
He urged eligible voters, especially youths who have attained voting age and those who are yet to register, not to miss the opportunity to secure their PVCs ahead of future elections.
The Ifie-Kporo Community Chairman noted that the voter card remains a powerful instrument for choosing credible leaders and shaping the future of communities, states and the nation at large.
Dr. Agbeyi also encouraged those who may need corrections, transfers or replacement of lost voter cards to visit designated registration centres within the stipulated period.
He appealed to traditional leaders, community stakeholders, youth groups and political leaders to mobilize residents to participate fully in the exercise.
According to him, increased voter participation will strengthen democracy and ensure that the voices of the people are heard during elections.
Dr. Agbeyi reaffirmed his commitment to promoting civic awareness and encouraging active participation in democratic activities across Warri South Local Government Area.
